Measuring Up

Use a ruler instead of measuring tape when measuring your knitting. Whether you're measuring a knitted piece or counting rows and stitches, you want to have an accurate count.  Measuring tape can stretch as it wears. So an inch may not be an inch, which means if you're making something wearable, it may not fit.
